Short bio from April: "After graduating from highschool I went to Minot State like alot of people. And like alot more people, I quit after a year and half. I stayed in Minot working at the movie theater for a few years and then decided to try Minneapolis. I worked for a brief period as part of the management team for Victoria's Secret in the Mall of America. It's a nice place to visit but a horrible place to work at. So after many traffic jams and a car accident later, I moved back to Minot and worked at Sykes for two years. In that time I met my husband at a party where my car keys were stolen and he was the "helpful" one to try and find them. We never found the car keys but 4 months later he asked me if I wanted to go with him to Turkey. So on a weekend when we had nothing to do, we drove to Bismark and got married. On January 7th,2002 we landed in Incirlik, Turkey. I found a job I love as the Slot Machine Program Coordinator. In a nutshell, I control the gambling on the air base. It's a stressful job but it keeps me really busy. As alot of you know these last few months have been really interesting for Turkey. On March 21, 2003 I got evacuated from my home and sent back to Minot. It was the most scary situation I've ever been in but it also made me realize the thing's that are most important in life and that's friends and family. I had a great time visting everyone in Minot. I ran into a few familiar faces and had a great time going to all the fun Minot hangouts (aprox. 2). Well I'm back at my home in Turkey now and back to work. I plan to be at the reunion in July and can't wait to see everyone!!! " |
